-Plastic is sorted & separated by resin type
3 - SHREDDED/GRANULATED
-Ocean plastic is shredded/granulated and broken down at our facility
4 - WASHED/PREPARED
-Plastic is washed and readied for extrusion/pelletization.
5 - EXTRUDED/PELLETIZED
- Plastic is pelletized and ready for manufacturing!
6 -REMANUFACTURED/RECLAIMED
- Plastic is made into new, durable products!
Ocean Legacy now offers affordable plastic melt flow and moisture testing at our facility. These services have been priced to support the production needs of local recyclers, startups and amateur material developers.

LBS OF PLASTIC COLLECTED FROM CLEANUPS
The EPIC Program incorporates a four pillar hands-on approach to transform plastic pollution: EDUCATION, POLICY, INFRASTRUCTURE & CLEANUP.
Plastic doesn’t disappear. It accumulates—on coastlines, in ecosystems, and in the systems we’ve built.Real solutions take more than cleanup. They require recovery, processing, and reintegration into a circular economy.Collect. Sort. Process. Reintegrate. Scale. Repeat. This is what it takes to turn pollution into purpose.#PlasticPollution #CircularEconomy #OceanConservation #RecyclingInnovation #Sustainability #MarineDebris #ZeroWaste #EnvironmentalSolutions #OceanProtection #WasteManagement #ClimateAction #SustainableFuture ... Thank you so much to Global Heroes for featuring our work advancing real solutions to plastic pollution in there Climate - Corporate Heroes issue! This recognition highlights something we have always believed: cleanup alone is not enough. Lasting impact requires systems that address the full lifecycle of plastic, from recovery to recycling to prevention. Our EPIC approach (Education, Policy, Infrastructure, and Cleanup) was built to do exactly that. By connecting on-the-ground cleanup with scalable recycling infrastructure and policy-driven change, we’re working to ensure plastic doesn’t just get removed, but responsibly managed and kept out of the environment for good. From expanding the Ocean Plastic Depot network to advancing processing capacity at the Plastic Pollution Emergency Response Facility, this work continues to grow thanks to the communities, partners, and supporters who are part of it every day. This feature is a reflection of that collective effort.Read the full story:www.globalheroes.com/plastic-pollution-epic-solution-olf/Read the full issue here: www.globalheroes.com/category/climate/#OceanLegacy #PlasticPollution #CircularEconomy #OceanSolutions #MarineDebris #EnvironmentalLeadership ... Plastic Product Ads (That No One Asked For) – Episode 4Small enough to lose. Big enough to matter. Introducing The Bottle Cap™, a tiny product with a global footprint.Bottle caps are one of the most commonly found items during shoreline cleanups. Their small size makes them easy to lose, difficult to recover, and often missed by recycling systems. Once in the environment, they can travel through waterways, accumulate on coastlines, and be mistaken for food by marine wildlife.Over time, they break down into smaller plastic fragments, contributing to the growing issue of microplastic pollution.Behind the satire is a serious reality: even the smallest pieces of plastic can have a large environmental impact.Learn more:www.oceanlegacy.ca#plasticproductads #OceanLegacy #PlasticPollution #marinedebris #microplastics #circulareconomy ... Breaking news: plastic pollution has officially resolved itself overnight!Bottles, ghost gear, styrofoam, and all types of plastics have begun disappearing from natural environments. Communities and scientists are shocked as they found marine debris has untangled itself and not even microplastics have been found. No cleanup crews. No infrastructure. No policy. No cost. All industries and NGOs celebrate this historic moment as the plastic pollution crisis has just disappeared over night.…April Fools. Plastic doesn’t disappear, it fragments. It spreads. It embeds itself deeper into ecosystems, coastlines, and food systems. The idea that this problem will “fix itself” is one of the most persistent and dangerous myths in environmental work., because while we wait, it grows.Real solutions are not passive. They are built and require recovery systems that reach remote coastlines: infrastructure that can process complex marine plastics; policy that addresses production and end-of-life; and markets that reintroduce materials into the circular economy.Plastic pollution is not a joke, it's a very pressing issue that contributes to most environmental and political issue we are experiencing today. #PlasticPollution #EndPlasticPollution #CircularEconomy #OceanHealth #SaveOurOceans #EnvironmentalAwareness #SustainableFuture #WasteManagement #EcoInnovation #ClimateSolutions #Sustainability #ClimateAction ... Great news! Canada has announced a $3.8 billion nature strategy to protect lands and waters—and it includes the reinstatement of the Ghost Gear Fund! Our team co-created a petition last September to ask the government to reinstate this essential fund which allowed us, and other organizations across Canada to retrieve and recycle ghost gear from marine environments. This news reflect how real, on-the-ground solutions can shape national policy, and how all of our voices are heard when we speak together. This is proof that we all have a role to play. By raising our voices, supporting petitions, and sharing what we see on the ground (like ghost gear and derelict vessels), we help inform better decisions and stronger systems.Real change happens when action connects with policy.Read more about the new nature strategy: www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2026/03/31/prime-minister-carney-launches-new-nature-strategy-...#canadanews #BreakingNews #ghostgear #oceanconservation #OceanPolicy #circulareconomy #30x30 #marinedebris ...
