The tide is rising – and so is the story. Ocean Legacy is proud to be featured in West Harbour Heroes, the new 10-part documentary series now streaming on Crave. Filmed by Emmy Award–winning cinematographer Maxwel Hohn (Island of the Sea Wolves), the series follows the people whose lives are bound to British Columbia’s Pacific coastline – Coast Guard crews, search and rescue teams, Indigenous Guardians, marine biologists, and cleanup crews like ours, racing the tides to protect the waters we all depend on.
For over a decade, our team has hauled marine debris off some of the most remote shorelines in Canada – by boat, by helicopter, by hand. Now, for the first time, you can see that work the way we live it: cold, heavy, breathtaking, and worth every minute.

Every kilogram of marine debris we recover enters our EPIC program: Education, Policy, Infrastructure, and Cleanup. Recovered plastic is sorted at our Ocean Plastic Depots, processed into Legacy Plastic™ pellets, and remade into park benches, lumber, and products that keep it out of the ocean for good. Trash becomes treasure. That’s the plastic circular economy — and it runs on people like you.
