E.P.I.C. | Plastic Pollution Emergency Response™
The ocean economy exceeds $2.5 trillion annually.
UN SDG 14 has mobilized global attention to solve the ocean pollution crisis. Capital is moving. Yet scalable implementation capacity remains limited.
Ocean Legacy has built it.
We have grown from $1M to $10M in integrated marine plastic recovery and circular manufacturing systems.
Our next expansion is structured for disciplined scale-up:
$10M → $100M → $500M → $1B
The next decade is about rising to meet the scale of problem and opportunity.
We are ready.
Many organizations remove plastic.
We operate full-stack marine recovery and circular manufacturing infrastructure:
We are not building another pilot.
We are building backbone infrastructure for the marine circular economy.
11 million metric tonnes of plastic enter the ocean each year.
SDG 14 faces an estimated $175B annual funding gap globally.
Capital is mobilizing through blue bonds, impact funds, and biodiversity finance. What remains scarce are proven, deployable systems.
Ocean Legacy has these, and is positioned to scale globally.
Our founder Chloé Dubois is an global leader in the ocean community, speaking internationally at conferences, as well as spearheading partnerships and operations internationally.
We have consistently earned Canadian national coverage across CBC, The Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun, and international coverage especially in American and European media.
OLF 2025 General Coverage Report—yet our ambition is far larger than visibility.
We now are preparing to deploy transformative capital at industrial scale.
A catalytic $1B commitment would fund:
This is not incremental growth.
This is systems-level deployment.
Ocean Legacy is prepared to responsibly absorb and deploy major capital.

I co-founded Ocean Legacy to take on marine plastic pollution in a way that goes beyond cleanup—with infrastructure, systems, and long-term solutions.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked across eight countries to connect ocean recovery with recycled plastic processing and manufacturing, into a fully functional circular economic engine that can actually scale.
If you’re reading this, we should talk.

We operate 5 ocean plastic depots on the Pacific coast in British Columbia, and 2 on the Atlantic coast in Nova Scotia. Internationally we have run shoreline cleanups in USA, Mexico and Guatemala as well as participating in plastics research expeditions to both polar regions.

Beyond financial support, community partnerships also provide value through shared resources, knowledge, social and professional networks. We don't see financial and community support as mutually exclusive categories, and welcome your involvement in the ways that work for you.
Ocean Legacy is uniquely structured to receive transformational investment in a variety of ways. We are open to: charitable donations (funding environmental and education programs), sponsorships (leveraging brand awareness for circular economy promotion), capacity building (operational support) and direct investments in our Legacy Plastics business.
We are open to advisory relationships based on expertise and level of investment. With the guiding principle that the work should direct the investment, rather than investments restricting the work.
